I spent some enjoyable days with my sister in Paris. We walked around a lot, ate wonderful food and had much fun. And even though it looks as if we spent all our time in cafés, that`s not true. We saw a lot more things and even went up the Eiffel tower!

Ich war mit meiner Schwester für ein paar Tage in Paris. Wir sind sehr viel herumgelaufen, haben lauter kleine Köstlichkeiten gegessen und hatten eine Menge Spaß. Und auch wenn es so aussieht, als ob wir all unsere Zeit in Cafés verbracht hätten – das ist nicht wahr. Wir haben wirklich viel gesehen und waren sogar auf dem Eiffelturm!

Last week I visited the Leipzig Book Fair. At the booth of the kunstanstifter we talked again about the Lisbon book. The titel is now “Quiosques de Lisboa”, and the layout designer, Verena Herbst, showed us her concept for the titel and the layout of the pages. Very nice! I am thrilled!
Meanwhile I draw like mad for the cook book, which will also be published next fall. I learned one thing: illustrating cook books makes one hungry, and there is never enough time to cook. But I will catch up on that, promise!

Letzte Woche war ich auf der Leipziger Buchmesse. Am Stand der kunstanstifter haben wir uns noch einmal über das Lissabon-Buch unterhalten. Es wird “Quiosques de Lisboa” heißen, und die Buchgestalterin, Verena Herbst, hat uns Vorschläge für den Titel und die Aufteilung und Gestaltung der Seiten gezeigt. Sehr schön! Ich bin schon soo gespannt!
Inzwischen zeichne ich wie wild für das Kochbuch, das auch im Herbst erscheinen wird, und habe dabei eines gelernt: Kochbücher illustrieren macht hungrig, und man hat keine Zeit zu kochen. Aber das wird nachgeholt!

I didn`t write here for a long time because I am very busy with new projects. I can`t tell yet, but they have to do with traveling, exotic food, the Orient and the Occident, sailors, explorers, and beautiful cities. Curious? Well, keep visiting my site, later in the year I will show what has become of it.
But meanwhile, in February, my new drawing course for teenagers will start. If its as much fun as last years I am looking forward to it!

Ich habe lange nichts mehr geschrieben, weil ich so beschäftigt bin mit meinen neuen Projekten. Ich kann noch nichts verraten, aber sie haben mit Reisen, exotischem Essen, dem Orient und dem Okzident, Seefahrern, Entdeckern und schönen Städten zu tun. Neugierig? In ein paar Monaten zeige ich hier mehr.
Inzwischen wird im Februar mein neuer Zeichenkurs für Jugendliche starten. Ich hoffe, daß er wieder so viel Spaß macht wie der letzte und freue mich schon darauf!
