I had already tight plans for yesterdays Sunday, but in the morning I managed a sneak visit to the forest to check on the mushrooms. And I must say: bountiful! It took me less than an hour for this yield. I even had time for a quick drawing before cleaning the mushrooms.

Der gestrige Sonntagnachmittag war leider schon komplett verplant, aber am Morgen bin ich schnell noch in den Wald geradelt, um zu sehen, wie es an der Pilzfront aussieht. Und ich muß sagen: ertragreich! Nach einer knappen Stunde war das meine Ausbeute. Da war noch Zeit für eine schnelle Zeichnung, bevor es ans Pilze putzen ging.

This summer I planned to draw and write something of my own about letters. But the project didn`t take off really. For one, the summer was too hot. Other work got in the way. And then I got massively sidetracked when I hauled all my old letters from the attic and started to read them. But now, as the summer is over, the thing is under way and gathers momentum. I like the way it`s developing. I really hope I get to finish it in busy times ahead.

Für diesen Sommer hatte ich mir vorgenommen, was Eigenes zum Thema Briefe zu zeichnen. Aber das Projekt dümpelte vor sich hin. Der Sommer war zu heiß. Es gab andere Arbeit zu tun. Und als ich zur Vorbereitung meine alten Briefe vom Boden holte, bin ich versunken ins Lesen und Erinnern. Aber jetzt! Langsam nimmt das Ganze Fahrt auf und macht richtig Spaß. Nun muß ich nur sehen, wie ich es noch in meinen vollgeplanten Herbst packen kann.
